My name is Chris Jumonville, and I am the owner and founder of Indian Scout Forum. I founded this forum out of my love and passion for the Indian Scout. I've owned more cool motorcycles in my life than I can count, but to this day, my Indian Scout remains the most fun and enjoyable motorcycle I've ever owned.
I live in Salem, Oregon with my wife Katie and our two daughters, Claire and Chatlotte! I'm definitely what you would call a family man and then some. Oregon is a perfect place for a Jeep Wrangler due to all the off-road trails, beaches and more. I own my own business called Digital Sky Design as a professional web designer. When I'm not working, my biggest hobbies—aside from my Indian Scout—include playing guitar, working out at the gym, traveling and spending time with my family.
The majority of forums out there are owned by a parent company who specializes in buying up internet forums with the intention of monetizing them to make money. Because of that, they want to shove as many ads down your throat as possible to make money off it. Where they lose touch with the end user is in the fact that the guys who run these forums are not even motorcycle enthusiasts (or owners) at all. They're guys whose job it is to monetize a forum and make money off of it. Because of that, they're probably not spending as much time as they could really making the forum a nice place for owners and enthusiasts.
My goal when I created this forum was to have a forum that is clean, non-cluttered, easy to navigate, and works well on mobile devices (if you haven't tried this forum out on your smartphone or tablet you're missing out). Forum members will never at any point see this forum overrun with annoying ads like all the other forums out there, that's a promise! The little money I do make off of the Amazon affiliate links on this site, goes entirely to the costs of running the server (i.e. software licenses, server costs, etc.). This forum is regularly maintained and we're constantly adding new features. You'll also notice that this forum (unlike almost all the others) runs entirely on an SSL connection (hence the HTTPS and padlock in your web browser's URL bar). Because of this, any information you submit on this forum is encrypted using the latest SSL technology.
I encourage you to tell all your friends about this forum to help spread the word! The more members we can get, the better.
Welcome to the Indian Scout Forum!
